Who is Eligible

The Champion of Service award recognizes an outstanding Chester County staff member whose dedication, professionalism, and behind-the-scenes contributions help schools and students thrive.

Nominees must have been actively employed in one of the 12 Chester County public school districts or Chester County Intermediate Unit in a non-instructional capacity for a minimum of one year at the time of nomination, and be in good standing as confirmed by district/IU administration. For the purposes of this award, a non-instructional employee is defined as any full-time or part-time staff member whose primary responsibilities do not include direct instruction of students. Eligible nominees may include, but are not limited to, paraprofessionals, administrative assistants, custodial and maintenance staff, food service workers, transportation staff, and other classified support personnel. Nominees must demonstrate exceptional dedication, professionalism, and a positive impact on the school/IU community, whether through their service to students, staff, families, or the broader school/IU environment.
